# OPTIC Maturity Model (opticmm.com)

> The Praveg OPTIC Maturity Model (OPTIC MM) is a practitioner-derived organisational maturity model from Praveg Consultancy Services LLP: five pillars, twenty-five dimensions and a thirty-five-item diagnostic, read against a Target Maturity Profile calibrated to each organisation and sequenced by a written rule, the Priority Lens. It is part of PBAS, the Praveg Business Acceleration System. This site explains the model, runs the OPTIC Rapid and OPTIC Deep assessments online under an access code, and presents the book by Sagar Kalantre.

Key facts:
- Pillars: O Organisation & People, P Process, T Technology, I Improvement, C Context. Five dimensions each, coded O1 to C5.
- Levels: 1 Reactive, 2 Developing, 3 Defined, 4 Managed, 5 Optimising. The scale is absolute; the target is calibrated.
- Target Maturity Profile: baseline 3 per pillar, moved by four drivers (regulatory exposure, scale band, trajectory, business-model complexity), cap 5, floor 2. Level five is not the destination.
- Instrument: 35 items, being 25 behavioural anchor ladders and 10 red-flag checks. The question set is not published on this site; it is administered under an access code and printed in the book.
- Scoring: evidence not assertion; cumulative ladders; a pillar's level is the median of its dimensions, reported with its limiting dimension; a red flag caps a pillar at 2; contested ratings are resolved with evidence on the record.
- Depths: OPTIC Rapid (25 ladders, self-rated, provisional) and OPTIC Deep (35 items, evidenced, multi-assessor, 2 to 4 weeks).
- Priority Lens: Priority Score = (Gap x Impact) + Dependency, each 0 to 3. Roles: Lead, Support, Stabilise, Simplify.
- OPTIC Cycle: Calibrate, Assess, Prioritise, Design, Implement, Sustain.
- Designed for organisations of 50 to 500 people, often founder-led, in or adjacent to regulated industries.
- Evidentiary status: practitioner-derived; not yet psychometrically validated; a five-stage validation roadmap is in progress.
